February the 24th, 2012 Mariana, The object of poetry, is to get your audience to feel the feelings you are attempting to convey. In order to be successful in lyrical poetry, it is best to focus on an object or scene to get these feelings across. You cite feelings that are intangible to the reader. Yes, free verse does not have to rhyme, but it follows rules of internal rhythms....
